Reference Low-Frequency Performance: Vandersteen Sub Model 2Wq Active Subwoofer (Used)

Musical Bass, Seamless Integration & Reference-Grade Accuracy

The Vandersteen Sub Model 2Wq is a highly regarded active subwoofer engineered specifically for two-channel high-end audio systems, delivering exceptionally natural, articulate and musically accurate bass. Rather than overwhelming a system with exaggerated low frequencies, the 2Wq is designed to integrate seamlessly with full-range loudspeakers, extending bass response while preserving tonal balance, timing and soundstage integrity.

Featuring a long-throw 8-inch driver housed within a heavily damped acoustic enclosure and powered by an integral high-current amplifier, the 2Wq offers remarkable control and speed throughout the lowest octaves. Its proprietary high-pass crossover system allows the main loudspeakers to perform with greater clarity and reduced distortion, resulting in improved dynamics, cleaner midrange performance and a more effortless overall presentation.

This pre-owned unit is in excellent condition and represents an outstanding opportunity to own one of the most respected music-first subwoofer designs in high-end audio.
