Your Rights Under the Consumer Protection Act (CPA)

We at The Listening Room South Africa want you to be happy with your purchase. This policy outlines our return process, but remember, the CPA grants you even broader rights as a consumer.

Hassle-Free Returns Within 7 Days

You have the right to return certain eligible items within 7 days of receiving them for a store credit or exchange.

Here's what qualifies:

  • Unopened and Unused: The item must be in its original, unopened condition, with all packaging and labels intact. It should be exactly as you received it.


Simple Return Process

  1. Get Started: Contact us at to initiate your return.

  • In-Store Purchases: Visit us for an instant credit.

  • Online/Phone Orders: We'll guide you through the return process, including return instructions and address. Note: Items returned without prior authorisation may not be accepted.

  1. Pack Securely: Carefully pack the item in its original packaging and include your receipt or proof of purchase for a faster refund.

  1. Safe Return & Shipping Costs: You're responsible for safely returning the product to us with insurance. Unfortunately, shipping and insurance costs are non-refundable. For refunds or credits, we'll deduct the return shipping and insurance cost from your final amount.

  1. Processing Time: We aim to process exchanges within 7 days of receiving the returned item.

Important Information

  • Trackable Shipping with Insurance: We highly recommend using a trackable shipping service with insurance for all returned items.

  • Non-Returnable Items: Some products can only be returned if faulty or not as described, including:

    • Items older than 7 days

    • Clearance, special order, and sale items (contact us for details on sale items)

    • Opened/unsealed items

    • Items missing original packaging or labels

    • Items or packaging in damaged condition

    • Products containing personal data or registered with the manufacturer

    • Custom-made or personalised products

  • Keep Your Receipt: Keep your receipt or order confirmation handy for a smooth return or exchange.

  • Damages & Issues:

    • Inspect your order upon arrival. Contact us immediately if any item is defective, damaged, or incorrect.

    • If you notice damage during delivery, sign for the package as "damaged" and contact us right away.

  • Returning Faulty Items:

    • If your product develops a manufacturing fault within 30 days of purchase, return it with proof of purchase for an exchange. Before returning, disable any security features and remove personal data.

    • For faults after 30 days, we'll proceed with repair or replacement according to the CPA.
